Trick or Treat

Halloween is a fun time for the kids, and it can be fun for you too! Candy, decorations, costumes, what's not to love? You know what can be a downer on a fun night like this? A car accident.

Heaven forbid the worst happen, but it's so important that as drivers, we pay extra attention on October 31. Kids will be kids and they're having so much fun that they may not be paying attention to the cars in the street. So here's some tips to help you stay on guard during Halloween.

Keep your lights on, but not your brights. Your brights may actually make it harder for you to see trick-or-treaters and harder for them to see you. As long as your normal headlights are on, this will make sure you're visible.

Keep it slow. Especially if driving through a neighborhood, keep your speed as low as possible in order to keep everyone around you safe.

Have your windows down. If you're driving slow enough, rolling the windows down will help you to hear if people are nearby - because kids on Halloween are never quiet.

These are just a few precautions you can take to have a safe and happy Halloween. Always drive responsibly and contact TBC Accident Care if you have any questions or concerns!
